Most problems on a first ride are one of these.

I cannot hear my partner

• Check the top of the ride screen: it should say Linked. If it says Waiting, your partner has not joined with the same code.
• If the voice comes out of the phone speaker and not your earbuds, tap Audio output, or reconnect the earbuds.
• If a big button says "Tap to turn sound on", tap it once. Browsers only start sound after a tap.

The music does not play on my iPhone

An iPhone only lets a YouTube video start from a tap on the video itself. Tap the red play button on the video once. After that it follows every next song by itself.

The video shows an error

Some official music videos refuse to play outside YouTube. Pick another upload of the song. Lyric and karaoke versions almost always work.

It stopped when I opened Waze

The browser version only works while it is on screen. Keep Xoundly in front on the pillion's phone. The app that keeps running behind navigation is in the works: join the test group on the home page.

My music sounds like a phone call

That is Bluetooth: while an earbud mic is open, every earbud drops to call quality. Use Hi-Fi mode, which keeps the mic closed until you tap Talk.
